Officers and Executive Board

After our Memorandum of Understanding and AFSCME Local 917 Constitution is signed, we will be holding elections. To learn more about the election process, please review the AFSCME Local Union Election Manual.

We are also looking to setting up the following committees if needed:

• Budget and Finance Committee
  • study revenues and expenditures
  • draw up preliminary budget 
  • advise the Executive Board on Local 917's financial status
• Policy and Procedures Committee
  • review the Local 917 Constitution, policies, and procedures
  • draw up and report proposed amendments and revisions to the Executive Board and members 
• Steward Committee
  • receive training
  • confer with fellow stewards on member workplace issues and resolutions
  • conduct training scenarios
  • review grievances
• Swag Committee
  • create and design new ideas for union merchandise
