Committees

POLITICAL COUNCIL

The political council – schedules political candidate interviews and suggests endorsements of candidates and legislation. 

BUILDING & FACILITIES COMMITTEE

The building & facilities committee oversees construction projects and facilities issues as a direct member service. It supports and connects with Locals that are tenants. 

MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The membership engagement committee increases member involvement, member growth, and locals’ connections to Council 36. It coordinates community outreach and internal organizing. 

BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE

The budget & finance committee provides member oversight for budget priorities and the overall financial health of the Council. 

EDUCATION & TRAINING COMMITTEE

The education & training committee provides members with education and training opportunities, with a focus on best practices in negotiating and bargaining. 

CONVENTION COMMITTEE

The convention committee oversees the planning of the biennial convention for District Council 36 and the Council’s participation in the International biennial convention. 

VIRTUAL & ELECTRONICS TECHIES (VETs)

The virtual & electronics techies committee facilitates the virtual and audiovisual aspects of meetings and events, including DC36 conventions. Seeks and trains member volunteers.
