Kristian Huling

Kristian Huling began her career as a campaign field coordinator, granting her the opportunity to lead election efforts for Kamala Harris as California's Attorney General, Assemblymembers Betsy Butler, and Steven Bradford. As an organizer in training with Good Jobs LA, she helped to educate community members about the importance of passing Prop 30 and defeating Prop 32.
Her career in labor started in 2013 working as an organizer with SEIU, Local 721. Kristian represented and organized Los Angeles County employees in the public social services and child protective services department. She later went on to represent workers in multiple departments which included the blue-collar workers of the sanitation districts, public works, animal care, parks, agriculture weights, and measures in the north county region.
Huling went on to serve as political coordinator in government relations for 721, mobilizing workers to fight for public sector service protections, social justice, and equity. She represented her local at the SEIU California policy tables for restorative justice, public social services, and healthcare. Kristian also worked on behalf of 721 with the LA County Board of Supervisors, Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), the cities of Carson, Compton, Inglewood, and Avalon. She also facilitated member-to-member campaign efforts for several elected officials including Assemblymember Tina McKinnor, LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and LA City Councilmember Heather Hutt.
