AFSCME Local 119 speaks about dire need for AB 1400 study

Listen to AFSCME Local 119 member Luis Del Cid speak about the dire need for a study on fire mechanics risk of exposure to carcinogenic materials. AB 1400 was passed in 2019 and a study was supposed to be submitted by 2021. Yet, 4 years later AFSCME Local 119 is still waiting on a study to be conducted and while they wait, more and more members are being diagnosed with and passing away from cancer. AFSCME District Council 36 will continue to push for a study to be conducted as soon as possible because proper PPE is needed now!
