AFSCME is a proud member of the Coalition of City Unions. During contract bargaining in 2024, the City of Los Angeles agreed to the Coalition of City Unions’ proposal to address healthcare needs for part-time/intermittent City employees. There are thousands of intermittent/part-time workers, which means we have our work cut out for us.

As a first step, the City Coalition of Unions is surveying our members to find out whether employees have healthcare and who provides it. Based upon your responses, the City Coalition of Unions will make proposals to management. Thank you for your participation.
